Most Families Aren't Prepared for What Comes Next

Final expenses can be a devastating financial burden on the people you love most — arriving at the worst possible moment.

Social Security's one-time death benefit — all they'll pay

When a loved one passes, the last thing a family should face is scrambling to cover costs — passing a collection jar, taking out a loan, or fighting over who pays. Final expense insurance gives your family a cash benefit, typically within 24–48 hours, to cover the costs that Medicare and Social Security simply don't.

Three Steps to Peace of Mind

Getting covered is easier than most people think — no doctors, no exams, and no confusing paperwork.

You're Protected — Often Same Day

Most policies are issued quickly, with no medical exam. Just a few health questions. Your family is protected, and you never have to think about it again.

I'm a Central Texas insurance agent with experience helping families across the Killeen, Temple, and Fort Hood area protect what matters most. I've seen firsthand how a final expense policy can mean the difference between a family grieving in peace — and a family overwhelmed by financial stress.

Outside of final expense, I work with Medicare beneficiaries every day to help them navigate their coverage options. I bring that same commitment to clarity, honesty, and zero pressure to every conversation I have.

When you work with me, you get a real person who answers their own phone — not a call center.

Answers Before You Ask

Here are the questions I hear most often. If yours isn't here, just reach out — I'm happy to chat.

Do I need a medical exam to qualify?
+
No — final expense policies are designed to be accessible. Most policies only ask a few health questions. Many of my clients have diabetes, heart conditions, COPD, or other conditions and still qualify for coverage. Even if your health isn't perfect, we can usually find a plan that works for you.
Is this the same as term life insurance?
+
No — final expense is whole life insurance, which means it never expires as long as you pay the premium. Term insurance has an end date, and if you outlive the term, your family gets nothing. Whole life stays in force for life, and the benefit is guaranteed.
What does it actually cost?
+
Most of my clients are pleasantly surprised by the cost. Depending on your age and health, coverage typically runs between $30–$100/month for $10,000–$25,000 in benefits. We'll find the amount that fits both your needs and your budget.
Does my Medicare cover funeral expenses?
+
Medicare does not cover any funeral or burial costs. Social Security pays a one-time $255 death benefit — which barely covers the cost of a death certificate. Final expense insurance fills that gap entirely.
Is there a waiting period before I'm covered?
+
It depends on your health history. Many healthy applicants get immediate, first-day coverage. Some plans for higher-risk applicants have a 2-year graded period, where partial benefits apply in the first two years. I'll always explain exactly how your specific policy works — no surprises.
Can I get coverage for a parent or family member?
+
Yes — adult children can purchase final expense coverage for a parent, often as the policy owner. This is actually very common. If you're worried about a parent who hasn't planned ahead, let's talk through what options are available for their age and health.
